How did this abomination ever get on the air? Katy's ear-bleedingly off-pitch singing sounds like a rejected American Idol audition. Did someone at the studio forget to run Auto-Tune on her vocal track? It's awful, awful, awful. :mad:
 
This how I feel everytime I hear a Katy Perry song. Ever see her MTV unplugged? My dog barked at it the entire show, no joke.

I was just trying my best to hold back from saying anything, and I almost began to think I was the crazy one when I saw a lot of other people (INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS) liking it!

I don't know what happened to Katy on this second album (although teenage dream came out pretty well).

Maybe her label just happened to pick the worst, but still catchy songs first.

The moment I saw this thread, I IMMEDIATELY KNEW I had to come say something - I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
 
Its certainly not her best record but I dont think its horrible..
 
I don't hate it, but it's definitely not as catchy as her previous tracks. Seems like an odd choice for a single. Was there nothing else on the album with a stronger hook than this one?
 
Her vocals are terrible on the whole chorus!! Can anybody hear how bad it is when she goes "MAKE IT GO AHHHHH, AHHHH, AHHHHHH...AS YOU SHOOT ACROSS THE SKKKYY SKKKY SKKKY"? It sounds like shes straining her voice!

Other than that, the rest of the song is great!
 
while i agree on the vocal issues, the song is HOT. for those of you who don't "get it";
It screams "empowerment" at your girlfriends. (oh wait, never-mind, you'll never understand. carry on.)
