KAZG on the air at 6:20 a.m.!

I was just at the lumberyard yesterday.

My mechanic has a spot a few doors down from the transmitter.

Its a weird street to be sure.

Looks like no one has entered the transmitter office in years though.

Speakin' of low tech... There was a thread a while back wondering if O-Dees sounded better on AM than FM. The Nurse and I think the only things that sound better on AM are colonblow formats..paid religion..and most of KFNX's line-up! Even the East Valley Radio Network would have sounded better on FM.

AZ Gold's transmitter seems to be crankin' along with or without anyone checking up on it - this is a DX report from Northern Az - Jerome - we had a big power failure on thursday afternoon, for five hours after lightning hit a transformer a few blocks away - down for five hours, so, totally bored waitng for computers to return to life, I sat on the porch dialing my ancient Radio Shack fm/mw/sw 1-10 portable around - figured AM would be fun with zero electrical interference and who pops in loud and clear, with the only music on the AM dial? (other then the local KYBC 1600) -Arizona Gold - listened for an hour and a half and I must say, as oldies go, the Gold rocks along very nice, whoever strings the playlist together does a nice job and just a few commercials made it a pleasant listen.
