KAZM 780 provided a valuable news service for Yavapai & Coconino Counties vicinity with its strong daytime signal.

Maybe so, but according to the article, they were either ignorant of the terms of their lease or just weren't interested in complying with them.

and the last few posts on that thread on both page 1 and page 2 deal directly with this matter. Apparently, KAZM's new owners (as @K.M. Richards indicated) were not paying as much attention to detail as they should have.
