I wonder if the cold front coming our way has anything to do with it? I should check the sunspot count. Anyway the signal is STRONG here tonight and the music sound great!

Caught Jack Armstrong's sign off bit, it always makes me smile!

Are you guys really expecting lake effect snow?

I heard Danny talking about the snow this morning. He said he was buying a winter home in Amherst. The Southtowns had 6 inches of snow but Amherst had none! I found a new way to listen at work on the internet, no the station is not streaming but I have an interesting way to hear it.

I do get it here in Delaware loud and clear from around 5:00 PM until 7:00 AM>

If only. One of the most inconsistent signals in Western New York. Didn't used to be this way. Or did its programming aura overshadow its technical blemishes.

Good question! I think much of the AM band really sucks now. There are probably more stations on which cause problems. The old clear channels aren't clear anymore because the powers that be don't care about skywave reception.

We also didn't know any better in the old days and probably put up with less than clear signals.

One thing for sure the old WKBW Pulsebeat News sounder really cuts through. I could hear it even during deep fades in the signal. Jackson Armstrong cuts through the fades very well too!

Some time ago they burried all the above ground transmission lines so I assume that a lot of stuff got redone it should be in good shape. How does WGR do? They share the site so that could be an indicator. The two stations have one tower in common at night. I assume that WGR uses the self supporting tower for it's non directional daytime signal but i don't know for sure. Wow what a radio geek I am!
