KB Forever, Forever KB

One of the things I loved the most when I moved to NJ was when the AM blowtorches seemed to flip to "Real Oldies" (the so-called Oldies station in Houston was as bland as white rice). KB was what I went to bed to, and what I woke up to, even after I got XM, there was something about hearing thoes slick jingles and the dry promos right next to a classic doo wop or girl group sound.

Hopefully, after this idiotic experement with Air America fails (I'm a Democrat and even I think it sucks), KB can rise like a Phoenix from the ashes. But most likely it will go on to another fad format.

Thanks for Chicken Man, Jack Armstrong, and "Yeah, KB Remembers"

Hopefully I can spin some KB jingles on hylitradio.com......<P ID="signature">______________

As a refugee from Entercom it appears they just don’t want oldies on their stations. I still can’t figure out why they dumped the oldies on WBBF (98.9)in Rochester. A station with Bobby Hatfield doing mornings & programming and Dick Heatherton doing PM drive. The station had a 7 share 12+ ! Always seemed to be me they needed to make changes in the sales department not in programming. Other oldies stations (WHTT, WSEN) have been very successful in tweaking their formats. I am sure, given time WBBF would have been able to do the same.
I don’t know how many oldies stations Entercom still owns, but if I were working at one I’d be looking over my shoulder. My best wishes go to Danny, Tom, Jackson and the rest of the staff at KB. You guys did a great job.
