KBEK Keeps Live & Local Going

https://www.arcamax.com/business/businessnews/s-2323206-p1

Really, the traditional radio model has the best chance of being preserved in small and smaller mid-markets. It's the same for newspapers. Both mediums still are able to attract local advertising and the community supports through both subscribing (newspapers) and listening (radio). Such enterprises in these markets are also unlikely to be burdened by acquisition debt. KWLM in Willmar, MN, the other stations in the Willmar Radio Group and WCSM in Celina, OH are other examples.

That said, this article tries to convey that this could be a trend, the pendulum swinging back. That is absolutely not the case. More automation and syndication are the trend for the vast majority of stations from now on.
