KBIG seems to have shifted back to more of an AC approach to the music (even when Delilah isnt on). They played Peter Frampton a few minutes ago. They even played "Brown Eyed Girl" within the last hour.

Perhaps they're trying to tailor the sound of the station to make Delilah sound not so foreign. But why? They've never felt any heat from MOVIN' so why adjust, they own that part of the market. Maybe it's a little in-house competition with KOST? Who knows? It's couldn't have set too well with KOST when KBIG added Delilah. Then again, "Lovesongs On The Coast" always beat Delilah to death, so maybe it doesn't matter...

I see your point about KBIG; Delilah has NO business being on ANY LA radio station, unless it were to be KOST; the only way she'd be on KBIG from 7PM-midnight would be if KBIG was owned by another radio company, and that's VERY debatable as well.
'Thump Radio's' launch on KBIG was specifically designed to boost their 12-24 numbers and take a bite out of KPWR's numbers according to Jhani Kaye, and it has certainly worked.
Given the cost-cutting spree that CC, CBS and everybody else have been on for years, syndication and voicetracking are here to stay where it makes sense, and trying to duplicate the voice-tracking feat of ex-KIIS AP Sean Valentine (top five in PM drive in LA, and number one in MORNING drive in another market TWO THOUSAND miles from LA!!!!) is something that all radio station owners will try to duplicate.
I've also read very recently that ex-KBIG co-hostess Leigh-Ann Adam is now working at Dallas's legendary AC powerhouse KVIL.
