KBKY-"Fox Sports Merced" Becomes AC "Y-94"

According to ALL ACCESS, KBKY-94.1 Merced has dropped Fox Sports Radio and has switched to Adult Contemporary and id's as "Y-94".

And ALL ACCESS took that long to report it? Wow! Where I live at in Stockton, I can only pick up KPFA from Berkeley on 94.1, which in the long term, maybe better than KBKY, either when it was Sports or AC as it is now. I do remember when Merced used to boast of TWO ALL SPORTS STATIONS: KBKY-94.1 and KTIQ-1660. The latter is Spanish now. Now Merced has none though I am sure maybe one of the Fresno Sports Stations reaches Merced. I wonder if KESP-970 signal reaches Merced from Modesto.

I heard it on the way to my visit to Sacramento and San Francisco over Easter. The processing sounded off to me, but it was nice to see the AC void filled in Merced.

KESP comes in days, but not at night when it goes directional. Most folks in Merced wanting sportstalk rely on KNBR, which is why I could never figure out why KBKY was on the Giants' network. The Fresno stations don't cover much of the local happenings in Merced anyway. KYOS is still on the A's network, but don't know if they still broadcast a high school football game of the week or Merced College.
 
the problem is big corp. stations think no one wants to hear high school
