KBLZ/KAZE?

I can hear 102.7 KBLZ but not 106.9 KAZE. Has 106.9 been off for long?

Also just heard 106.1 in Henderson, sounds like the FM receiver they're using at the site isn't working correctly because there's a lot of static.

I heard back from The Blaze, the air conditioning for the transmitter of 106.9 stopped working, causing damage/heatstroke to the transmitter in the intense heat. They're waiting on parts to fix it, I imagine it will be back soon.
As for Henderson, the 106.1 sounded better yesterday afternoon with less static.

The 106.1 translator receiver relays from 105.3 in Kilgore. Tropospheric ducting has been fierce this year which is playing havoc with reception. It uses an Inovonics Aaron receiver (About $2500.00) and a Katrien Scala antenna. Every time I've gone down there it has been working properly, but we are looking at alternative ways to get the signal there.
All that said, the 106.1 has been getting bombarded with co channel interference from afar. Depending where you are located, that may be part of your reception problem. The Henderson signal is highly directional, almost completely disappearing by the time you get to the south of town loop intersection with Hwy 79.

Good to know, Chuck!

I wonder if they fixed KAZE yet. When I heard it was down I was just traveling through, but don't live there.
