I was listening to La Zeta 98.3 from DFW area. Tropo Tunneling on fm and I bet much more station did this because of the heat. I wonder will the switch from analog to digital on tv affect radio in any way? I mean there are going to be less frecuencies on air, so there will be more space on air for stations to reach farther? JUST ASKING!

The DTV switch won't affect radio much. It may allow a few additional stations or allow some stations to upgrade their power at the low end of the dial because most places no longer have a channel 6. However, that's about all you're likely to see.

I should have tried for KLUV this afternoon. Oldies in Houston - I wonder how far South they could move their tower? It wouldn't take much to get them in here regularly.

With KBBT/Schertz and KTJM/Port Arthur, on 1st adj. 98.5 and KTXN/Victoria on co-channel 98.7, the chances for KLUV moving any closer to Houston are slim and none, and slim is packing his bags. KSBJ might want to have a few words with CBS as well, considering their Huntsville translator also occupies 98.7.

I was just being facetious ----

;D Well bruce, turn on your radio, I just checked 98.7 and sure enough there sits KLUV battling it out with KTXN/Victoria. Also catching some real Americana from 95.3 KHYI/Howe this morning, as well as a battle between KQUR/Laredo and KLTY/Arlington on 94.9. Suspiciously enough, regular catches KSKY and KAAM are MIA this morning on the AM side.
