I would tend to agree. While it would make perfect sense for a Spanish Religious broadcaster to air Spanish Religious programming, I have found that many stations, LPFM and translators in particular, appear to be owned by Spanish Religious organizations with obscure names, yet their programming is in English and not religious at all. I believe that they are simply leasing-out the station at a profit to any takers. Some of these Spanish Religious organizations may be neither Spanish or Religious, but may have used this affiliation in order to take advantage of preference. At the last LPFM window, Rice University identified that 68% of all the applicants were Spanish Religious organizations. I seem to recall that Rev. Cesar Guel played a prominent role.

Often times, its the organization themselves running the programming.. i doubt many lpfms get leased out

I know a "church" in florida that ran an lpfm... it was programing oldies

It was a church in name only

El Pez and Radio Luz are owned by Salem.
Mostly everyone in this thread seems to be of the belief that Salem Media (the company) and Salem Media Networks (their syndication arm) means that everything they produce is available for syndication. That is NOT the case. Just like not every iHeartMedia program is made available by Premiere Networks or Cumulus with Westwood One, the same applies here.

El Pez and Radio Luz in Dallas are stations. Radio Luz mostly carries brokered preaching, much like most of Salem's English language preaching stations. El Pez is a Spanish music brand offshoot of their "Fish" Christian AC stations, but is also NOT syndicated.

There is also programming that SRN distributes but does NOT own. They have their own site that is not hard to find with the information on what shows/services they do syndicate: Salem Radio Network

Not sure if Salem airs it anywhere else, but my understanding is that El Pez in Dallas left the air a few weeks ago. Some of its programming might have found its way to timeslots on Radio Luz, but it's no longer operating 24/7 in DFW.
