670 is on testing equipment. I heard them on yesterday until 6pm. And they are on again today, playing a 30 minute music loop and giving out the number to call with questions. Not sure if they are running the full 30kW signal. But it comes in fine in Spring Valley.

If this is to become a new AM station, what kind of format do you think will work in Southern Nevada? I hope it isn't another news/talk station!(yuck!) Maybe a "Music Of Your Life" format would work, given the number of 55+ persons that live in Southern Nevada, but are UNDERSERVED by current radio programming. :) 8)

The station is owned by Kemp (KVEG) and I found this on their website:

"Las Vegas Hottest new radio station is Hiring Bi Lingual Sales People. We are interested in people who know how to prospect and close new business accounts. We're looking for creative, motivated, self starters willing to grow. If you have a winning track record then this is a great time to join our sales team. Highest Commissions offered locally. Great earning potential! Fax resume to 736-2986."

IMHO, Bi-lingual should be a dead giveaway...

It doesn't say which second language is perferred....perhaps they are just looking for those who speak French, German, or Chinese because they want people who are highly edjumakated.

I heard it today while in the car. Audio sounded really "crispy", like the procesing is not adjusted properly.

Being somewhat familiar with Vegas, I would suspect another Hispanic-targetted station. Problem is, aren't there plenty of choices for Hispanic-Americans living in the valley? What segment/format is missing?
