KBTX 3

Why am I able to pull them in with ease here in Deer Park? Have they recently made a move to an easier frequency or whatever the lingo is these days? I'm using the Channel Master Smartenna+ INDOOR antenna.

Thanks.

Warmer spring weather will cause tropo conditions to kick up, making it easier to receive KBTX.

KBTX did make a move from RF50 to RF16 a couple of years ago during the UHF repack, but also somewhat reduced its power, so the signal coverage is pretty much the same.

KBTX has indeed always been in a good spot as far as tropo and general reception go. I remember receiving their digital signal crystal clear with nothing more than a bare RG6 coaxial cable one year.

Well, an RG6 is one of the best out there, especially if it's quad shield. Instead of an RG59, one should get an RG6 for best reception.
