KCAL 1410-96.7 History.

Hey Guys:

Was KCAL 1410 ever a Top 40 station in the late 50's early 60's? I saw on Wikepida as they described early KCAL AM as a rock n roll station.

Would anybody know the exact date in 1968 that KCAL 96.7 signed on there AOR format?

Thanks

T.J.

Hey Rico:

Thanks for that correct info. The info I got was wrong. Would you know what the format was before 1973?

Thanks again for your help.

T.J.

Up to the change to AOR in late '73, KCAL-FM was MOR, but I don't know how far back that went.

Thanks Rico for that info. From the broadcasting yearbooks they were simulcasting KCAL AM from 1965 to 1968 and 1968 on they had seperate programming from KCAL-AM.
