What does Mark do for income? It's been decades since he's worked for a station that actually had an audience. I figure he must make his real living from giving speeches.

Why would anyone want his contract??? His ratings are dismal! Unless its a bunch of trade for Jack and the Box, and a car from El Cajon Ford hes not worth it!

The person who should buy it, and has the money is Lee Bartel's son Richard Bartel!! He loves the history of the station he could actually do something decent with it. At present I would assume with billing equipment and such that its only worth about 2.5 million dollars that would be a drop in the bucket for Richard Bartel?

Just remember that doing something decent on AM is tougher than ever. And the Q doesn't have the signal it used to.

Mark does program announcing for many of Turning Point's programs, at their studio in Lakeside. And numerous info-mercials.
He's VERY picky about the chair he has to sit in....

KCBQ's signal is actually better at night now than it was before the Santee site was torn down. And the studios for KCBQ are in La Jolla not Lakeside. Lakeside is the transmitter and the studio for KDEO oh im sorry the cheezy call letters KECR. Its also the transmitter for KCBQ but no studio there

Also Mark Larson will put his voice on anything that pays. Over at KOGO I think he was even hawking recycled adult diapers!! On top of that he has never been picky where he sat! After all he sat in the chair that Roger Hedgecock farted in!

The studios I'm talking about(Turning Point) are on Riverford Rd.; it's a Christian production company. (Dr. David Jerimiah, etc.)

most of KCBQ'S people pay for access. (except for Salem) Larson is kept around because he brings in the advertising dollars. But Larson is now on the same level as the 'legendary Bob Grant". One day I was listening to Medved, and Larson's show promo for the next morning promised listeners the opportunity to buy a subscription to a magazine. He's out of material and has nothing to offer except a cruise to Scandinavia next year (and you get to meet his relatives)
