I had the pleasure of spending most of the day in San Jose at Fairmont Plaza, watching as Stan Bunger, Rebecca Corral and the crew from KCBS originated their noon newscast from nearly the same spot the station was born at.
I also got to spend a significant amount of time there with Jim True and his wife. Jim was there to represent his grandfather, Doc Herrold, and we presented Jim with a plaque marking Doc's induction into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame.
