Washington KCED Centralia College 91.3

I understand KCED 91.3 (1 kw -22M HAAT) is off the air and is not coming back. Its license was renewed in 2022.

Can anyone confirm that?

Perhaps one of the public stations might want to grab the license, replacing a translator down that way.

Wade Fisher who ran the program there retired last year — so that would make total sense. I had chatted with him a few years ago pre-pandemic and even then was told that they had shifted their curriculum away from radio years ago and that aside from the occasional student who wanted to get into sports/play-by-play, hadn’t had a student who was interested specifically in the radio side for at least 5 years. The question is if Centralia will turn in the license or offer it to another entity.
