KCEE - A great easy listening station

Greetings:

For the last six months my office has been listening to either WNIO (www.wnio.com) or the Music of your Life Network (www.musicofyourlife.com).

Recently I discovered KCEE 690 out of Tuscon, AZ. What a GREAT station. They essentially play "fourty years of favorites".

They have the usual 50's, 60s, 70's standards & some of the lighter oldies from the 50's & 60's. On rare ocassion they will play a light country tune, a Polka instramental, or pop instramantal.

No Dee Jays, but Great, great music.

They are at www.690kcee.com.

Anyone else listen to them and care to comment?

Mike

Mike, great find, thanks for the referral. Listened somewhat earlier this week and yesterday had them on all day in the office. Lots of oh wow songs! Yesterday a few hours apart they played both versions of Blue Bayou... first the more popular Linda Ronstadt version but later the Big O's original ... sweeeeet!!

They must be 'bird-fed' as their playlist showed songs that were not heard during Internet spot breaks. Really cool that not only one can see their playlist from yesterday and today, but also what they are going to play the rest of the day all the way up to midnight! Here's a link to the playlist:

Another little tidbit on their home page are three "Living in the <decade>".

For those of us who lived through these times, a great reminder of what was. For the younger set a great view into history.

Great Find Mike!

This is exactly the kind of station I have been looking for. I have found quite a few, but, none has
been as much to my liking than KCEE. It really reminds me of what ABC's Stardust format was like
before they switched to Timeless.

Thanks for finding it and posting the link,

TR

KCEE is programmed by Tucson legend Ed Alexander. I agree with all of the posts. The music on KCEE is great! The last time I was in Tucson, it was all I listened to.
