Does anyone know if KCKN in Roswell, New Mexico is on the air still? What format are they airing? Are they 50,000 watts night?

Thanks for the help!

They just got the KCKN calls back about six weeks ago after Kansas City let them go. I don't know if it's still on-air. I know it was off for awhile, and the group that was operating the station as KINF no longer runs it. In its last few months as KINF, it was operating as a Hispanic-oriented station. I heard some Spanish-language and New Mexican music while I also heard a jammin' oldies show, one local and one may have been Art Laboe. Very little of the announcing I heard was in Spanish. When I listened to it in late July and early August, I could hear it pretty easily in Albuquerque, though that doesn't necessarily mean it was running 50,000 watts.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are back on the air with Classic Country hits. The audio is the best it's ever been, wide band audio, so if you have a wide band AM radio reciever, you can hear it in all it's 50kw day and night glory. Look for late night infomercials or religion as it pays the light bill to kick the power out, reaching, generally from Seattle to about 2/3 of Mexico and toward Honduras...
