The new KCNS 38 or Sinovision TV, so far so good.
This is good news for chinese viewers particually Mandarin speaking viewers and bad news for KTSF 26. Bay Area viewers has been waiting 5 years for this new local chinese station after KPST 66 went down.
I cannot believe KTSF 26 is airing those funny ads showing the news team 18 years of hard work. Also, adding news clips on their new website. Too LATE.
Adding the news clip is copying LA 18, a intl channel in LA like KTSF 26. They have been doing this for a year or two. For the ads and claiming to be no 1 TV station, starting in 2002, that is TRUE when no other free station at the time.
KTSF 26 must be the worse channel back in the 80s and 90s and cannot even beat KPST 66 and KCNS 38.
A commercial channel for KTSF 26.
The biggest disappointment must be Cantonese speaking viewers losing a TV station over Mandarin programming. In 2002, KTSF 26 try to make up the mandarin viewership lost by airing Mandarin shows and give up on Cantonese viewers. A SUDDEN CHANGE. When KTSF got competition (KPST 66, KCNS 38), they continuously grab Cantonese viewers airing one ATV series after another. In 2002, only 1 ATV series each year. Also, 50%+ of KTSF drama series is from China. The same old custom king/emperor or historical character series.
Anyone feel KTSF 26 is affiliated with CCTV China???
I think so. In 2003, 2004, 2005, KTSF aired Korean series like KMTP 32. In 2006, China want to BOYCOTT korean tv series and KTSF 26 did the same thing. The year before, they aired FULL HOUSE, LOVE STORY IN HARVARD, LOVERS IN PARIS, STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, DAMO, SAVE THE LAST DANCE. I rather KTSF show korean series than those loudsy mainland china series. The same old storyline, KING/PRINCESS/FAMOUS LEGEND.
KCNS 38 is very good news. I love their korean series and fairness choosing both mandarin and chinese viewers. Without KCNS 38 and KMTP 32, KTSF feel they are the KING OF CHINESE ENTERTAINMENT. Watch it or turn off the station. They control chinese television.
KCNS 38 is just like the new KPST 66. Very good news for Chinese viewers in the Bay Area.
