Xpert... I heard it very clearly from Coal Hill to Clarksville earlier tonight even with KXIO on the adjacent channel. The bleedover of course made it unlistenable right there in Clarksville, but even west of the city it could be heard.

Maybe I just have a hell of a radio....

I haven't done too much driving in the past few days to check out their coverage, but as a first impression from somebody whose house is just over the hill from their stick I must say that their audio could use some work. It is considerably quieter than anyone else and sounds like they are using a pretty old processor. Not that I'm any fan of heavy processing but it's just kind of bland sounding. There is also a low whistle at about 8-9k that doesn't seem to change when the audio level goes up and down. STL problem maybe?

Just my thoughts...

Thanks for your comments. I agree the audio needs some work. Today is the first day any of that could possibly be addressed.

The STL is receiving 900 uV of signal, which is 12 times the required signal level.

I was hearing it pretty solidly along route 25 over past Concord today until I got beyond the hill in Almond when it started getting wiped out.

That is a really solid STL signal. Out of curiousity, where are the studios? KCNY wouldn't happen to be the reason for the new STL tower on the hill on 65 heading north out of Conway would it?

Corner of Oak and German in Conway.

Yep, that 45' beauty is the repeater site for KCNY.

One more quick reception report in case you are interested: KCNY was coming in nicely near the base of the KATV tower in Redfield (even though the truck radio was doing the mono blend thing). While it does get a little spotty while actually driving on I-530 toward Redfield, it's still pretty listenable overall. Can't attest to building penetration at that distance, but it's still pretty impressive coverage. Guess it helps to have your transmitter site on top of a pretty massive hill.
