KCOH 1230

Actually, the KNUZ/KQUE reunion will be on 4/21 at Los Tios Restaurant for all former employees.

Does that also include Morris's employees at 1450 KAYC / 97.5 KAYD Beaumont?? (Where Uncle Dave made more money and cycled the cash to the Houston operations? and we had mice running around the back of the AM console at KAYC?....a jock got bit live on the air one day!!)....I remember one December, the bonuses were based on what you made the month before....a part timer, Todd Bishop (real name Schmidt and who later went on to be an OBGYN in Dallas but suddenly passed back in 2014), got a whopper $0.22 bonus....taped it to the window of the AM CR with a "MERRY CHRISTMAS???" typed on it....the manager at the time, "Doc" Holiday, a legend in his own mind, didn't leave it up for long!! LOL

(Luckily I got a decent bonus for working midnight to 6 in November after the jock that was hired 2 months earlier suddenly quit and left town with family....rumor was his wife didn't like the area.....and found a better job for herself somewhere else)

I don't know where you got that idea. KQUE was the cash cow along with Musi-King (the background music service) which propped up the whole operation. There has been another reunion since that 2013 post at Spanish Village last year, All of Texas Coast Broadcasters employees were invited.

Music King was also on KAYD but had few customers...Muzak on then KBPO (formerly KLVI) did better.....

I am going on what accounting girls told me Chuck....the money KAYC/KAYD made did not stay in Beaumont...(at least a good chunk of it)...

That's because all of it went in Dave Morris' pocket, not back into the stations....any of them.
