KCOH, together with KYOK?

What has happened here? For the last few times I've checked 1140, to see if its moved to Katy yet, it has been rebroadcasting KWWJ-1360, KYOK's sister. This morning, Gospel 1360 has been replaced on 1140 with KCOH. Has anyone heard this yet, or anything about it becoming a permanent partner with KCOH? I liked hearing KCOH clearly for once. Maybe someone was listening to KCOH in studio and aired the wrong feed? Maybe testing, but for what? That was the Conroe signal airing KCOH, not one coming from Katy.

Martin, who owns KYOK and KWWJ, has nothing to do with KCOH that I know of (he also owns KZZB in Beaumont which is hit and miss on audio and operation....its been on more lately than not but its past sure didnt show that)...I am surprised he is spending the money to move 1140 anyway.

He must have some association with KCOH now, as KYOK is still in simulcast this morning.

KYOK has the same on again off again model that KZZB does...or did. It, too, has been on the air more often lately.

Nothing but dead air/open carrier on 1140 at a 12:25pm check on Friday. Normal programming on 1230.

Guess KCOH management prefers to lease time on two stations rather than purchase the 1230 license outright from Liberman.

The future 800 watt daytime signal for 1140 sounds fairly modest, but KCHN 1050 has a fairly decent signal for only 410 watts at a location that's not far from the proposed 1140 site.

Wonder if the Mayor of Conroe knows that 1140 is leaving town??? (I know the transmitter site quite well; its just off 336N near the railroad overpass...lived close to it for 14 years and was somewhat involved in their upgrade to 5KW in providing some technical help...they had to detune one electric pole that was almost right in the main lobe of the 5KW signal..the old VHF PD radio system was not happy though...their split between TX and RX was 1.14MHz.....the AM would cause the PD repeater to lock up a lot...especially at night when the carrier was left on "by accident"...though no audio was there!..one night, had a service guy from GSU go kill the transformer so the carrier went off!) Liberman doesn't want to sell.....that's Leonard Liberman's line.....I am surprised Liberman sold 96.9 to KSBJ! As long as Liberman can LMA the station they will...Liberman did the same thing with KSEV.....At one time, Patrick was paying almost a million a year in the LMA until Patrick made an enormous offer for it.
