KCOO Sold

Non-com KCOO 89.9 has been sold to EMF ( Air One). EMF excersized their option with Living Proof Broadcasting for $2.5M for the Coolidge station. They no doubt will close their local studio and operate the station as a "super satellator". Look for a city of license waiver to be filed soon. EMF has already paid all the construction costs for KCOO which went on-the-air in April 2005.

Doesn't EMF also own the K-Love network?

I have to admit, here in Seattle, it amazes me that we don't have either K-Love or Air One. Both are very good stations when it comes to Christian music...Actually, Bob Anthony of K-Love helped me cut my first radio audition tape at his home studio in Oregon when I was thirteen...My uncle's best friend knew him somehow and set it up. So even though my tastes in Christian music are often a bit heavier than what K-Love plays, they've always held sort of a special place in my memories.
