KCOP to re-air LA Galaxy games

They are hoping to jump start MLS Season Pass subscriptions, encouraging fans to "see these games live on Apple TV" I think eventually to will go the the games live OTA in local markets and Season Pass will be for all out of market games.

Kinda reminds me of a couple of stations in Western NC. They were daytimers but would tape the play by play Friday nights then replay it Saturday at noon. Believe or not they had sponcers. Like Larry, Darrel and Darrel on the old Newhart show: any thing for a dollar.

I remember hearing Giants games at midnight, a way to get more revenue I guess.
WTCG/WTBS used to run Braves games back at midnight Eastern in the early days of the SuperStation. Of course, the idea behind that was so they'd be airing at a time when viewers in the Pacific time zone would be home to watch. NESN repeats edited Red Sox and Bruins games the following morning, too, calling it "Red Sox in 2" and "Bruins in 2."

Of course, regular-season MLS games never run over two hours, so no editing is needed. I just wonder whether there's enough of an audience for Galaxy games to attract any advertisers. I mean, this is MLS, not MLB.
