KCRZ 104.9: More power or what?

Noticed that the station came in all the way from the Grapevine to just south of Fresno on my rental car today. Never knew that station to have such a reach. Have they powered up, moved the transmitter or was it my rental?
 
No, a lot of stations come in good up on the Grapevine especially when you are in line-of-sight of the entire valley. I can get 97.5 KABX (Merced), 96.3 KUBB (Merced) and 105.1 The Blaze at only 600 watts.
