Station has been off for about a half-hour. Both the OTA signal and the stream are down, even tho' their Spinitron page indicates Harry Duncan is continuing to play tunes.

KCSM off the air

KCSM taking a different tack for their Fall Pledge drive. Hourly pre-recorded blurbs from the Station Mgr (Dr Franklin), and from singer Tiffany Austin (who I believe narrated that documentary about KCSM earlier this year) and also a heavy emphasis their new "Sonny Buxton Legacy Fund". This time around there's no widget on the website showing the current pledge $$ Total. Meanwhile they have (finally) begun mentioning the de-funding of public radio stations by the current administration in DC, something other local non-comms like KPFA KDFC and KPOO have been doing for many months (it's been a successful fund-raising tool for those stations).
