KCSN Question

I am a big fan of KCSN (been listening to it a lot during the pandemic). Question: Do the DJs have any leeway in selecting the music (maybe a couple of selections during their shift) for their shows (like the old free form days of radio)? Or, is everything pre-programed like standard corporate radio? Anyone have any insight.

Hi!! As I’m a 88.5 loyalist like you, and a member - I can’t say for the weekdays (I’ll ask Andy for more insight), but on the weekends Mimi Chen and Bob Goodman do select their music tracks for their respective shows. I believe during the day, on Nick, Mookie and Andy, it’s mostly a preplanned playlist with some additions by the DJ. IMO. Joe G
