KCTC

Apparently, KCTC wants to keep their current night-time site with out changing coverage.

What's strange is their desire to still move their City of License to West Sacramento. The only reason I can think of, is brownie points with the FCC because they still haven't received approval for their license renewal.

I will maintain that West Sacramento will receive no noticeable benefit with this unless the residents get up at 7:30 on a Sunday morning where they *may* hear a public affairs program covering issues with West Sacramento trash collection. Of course, the result of this will be anger from about 2-3 West Sacramento listeners upset that their ESPN radio programming is being interrupted.

Their initial plan must have fell through.

I was under the impression the COL change was part of consolidation of the two sites to the daytime and sell the Roseville Rd property. Perhaps there are no buyers and the reduction to 500 watts doesn't sweeten the deal.
