KCUB WILL BE AFFILIATED WITH CBS SPORTS NETWORK

KCUB 1290 will be an affiliate of the new CBS Sports Network that will be commence broadcasting hourly sports updates in September, and 24/7 programming in January 2013. Cumulus Media, owner of KCUB, is handling sales and distribution of the new competitor to ESPN Radio and FOX Sports Radio. It is unknown at this time how much of the CBS Sports Radio Network feed will air on KCUB, but outside of local originating programming, it is more than likely CBS Sports Radio Network programs will air on the remaining hours that local originating programming is not airing.
 
This should get KCUB from a zero share to a point one share.
Cumulus should hire Jim Slone as a consultant and go back to classic country. It had better ratings before it switched to sports.

Hey, Jimmy S. might need a part-time gig after his KVOA retirement runs out. Wonder if he'd be interested in his old mid-day slot. ;D
