KCUV-FM 102.3 Denver...

Hi everyone:

Was listening earlier today and they are now known as Denver's new oldies station. So far their main source of programming is the Oldies Network, which I assume makes it a satellite fed oldies station.

If THAT is THE BEST they can do, then NRC may as well pack it in right now because KOOL 105 will KILL them in the ratings. Their only saving grace they will (probably) have will be the PURE oldies fans in the audience (which isn't saying much considering that much of it is rapidly becoming extinct).

Anyhow....Thoughts anyone?

Cheers for now & Happy Holidays :)

Is this intended to be a critique of the Oldies Network?

Or a discussion of the Denver market?

Are you intending to make the demographics of Oldies stations an issue?

I'm trying to figure out if this thread belongs on this board ...
______________

They must be simulcasting on AM too. I can hear 1510 fairly easily in Winnipeg and enjoy the high number of soul hits on the station.

KCUV-FM did not change. Still running AAA/etc

KCUV-AM is running Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel like WZZN Chicago apparently.
______________
