KCVH Channel 30 returning in Houston?

Shortly after 6pm Saturday I noticed color bars on Channel 30 here in Houston, presumably from the KCVH transmitter. No ID or audio. Haven't checked since to see if it is still on. I know the station had been up for sale after LAT-TV went dark; they have been off the air the past nine months. Perhaps a new owner is kicking the tires?

Perhaps. It's too early to worry about putting out a signal so they don't lose their license for being off the air for a consecutive 12-month period . That wouldn't have happened until late June. I'm surprised Liberman didn't pick up KCVH-LP when they bought KVPA-LP for their Estrella TV network - unless they already own an outlet there.

They already own KZJL-TV/DT.

It's been sold to a subsidiary of Aleluya Christian Broadcasting, Inc. That company owns several radio stations in and around the Houston metro.
