KCVR-1570: Another Waste Of A Frequency!

With all this talk on KWSX-1280, I have noticed another waste of a frequency. It is KCVR-1570 Lodi-Stockton. This station is currently simulcasting the "Maria" Spanish AC format of KCVR-98.9. This station was a well programmed radio station until Silverado Broadcasting sold it in 1997 to Amador Busto's Z-Spanish Radio Network. It has continued to go down hill with its current ownership of Entravision. Before KVIN moved from 1390 to 920, I had wished that Jim Bryan & Doug Wolff would acquire this station and extend the Adult Standards format but now with the powerful signal of 920 booming up to Stockton & Lodi, There is now no need to do that. Honestly, I think Entravision should just turn off the signal of KCVR.

I agree, but what would Entravision do with the frequency? ESPN Desportes maybe? Or Maybe Ethnic, Stockton would use an Ethnic station, KLOK was rated 0.7 in Stockton last book, and their a San Jose Station! I think that Ethnic might be better for KSTN if it was to come back on.

KVIN does NOT put a usable daytime signal over Stockton. The station is a no show in the book as well.

...And both KCVR and KWSX put a usable daytime & nighttime signal over Stockton and both are a no show in the book too.
