KCWJ Kansas City using daytime antenna at night?

I take that back, the signal seems weaker at night than it does during the day. Maybe they just didn't have night power working properly before recently.

BTW, KCWJ is now the home of the Chiefs in Spanish, but still English classic country music.

When I first moved to KC (unless you count the roughly four weeks of summer camp I spent near KC in 1987), 1030 was classic country KOWW “The Cow.” It was owned by American Radio Systems along with KFKF, KBEQ, KMXV, and KOZN. I'm thinking it was sold after CBS acquired American Radio Systems. The management of another Christian station that was sold (can’t remember which one) bought KOWW and made it KCWJ, which aired a contemporary Christian format. It’s been through several different owners and formats since.

1030 is also the station that gave Jon Caprifoli his first big break when it was Z-Rock KBZR. You now know Caprifoli as KQRC morning host Johnny Dare.
