Northern California KDAN's Impending demise

Story: "Finding no takers, local radio station will vanish" by Sophia Grace Carter // April 9, 2025

..."To Mr. Cotton, the loss of KDAN is a loss to the community; the 10-watt FM station could have been a beacon for West Marin’s bohemian demimonde or served as a “voice for the voiceless,” offering an alternative to 320-watt KWMR and 110,000-watt KQED..."

I have spoken to Jeff once as my curious mind wondered how he did with his station in Cedarville, California. Jeff goes into almost exclusively tiny towns and presents a computer driven eclectic music format and little else. He does this not for money or fame but rather to simply give back to places that are special to he and his wife. There is not enough in most of his communities to even pay tiny electric bill. Jeff is one of the good ones.

I think he has acquired or built a station in Oregon with enough population to actually support or mostly support itself.
