That's a lesser signal. 103.1-Santa Monica has shadowing because it's behind the edge of the Baldwin Hills (while 93.5 is nicely placed on the rim) and is not as good at getting into the LA Basin as 93.5. And 93.5 is co-engineered with Ontario, and splitting them would result in a fairly significant interference zone.
The other 103.1 adds some OC coverage, but not as good for the current format as having 93-5 in the IE.
Im sure that was a joke about them moving to 103.1. Now if you jason would have said 96.3 FM then yes thats a smart move only problem is SBS isnt selling it. Does KXOL format rate higher than KDAY's format?
