KDBV-AM Salinas cancels their license

KDBV-AM 980 Salinas has filed to cancel their license. The licensee was CENTRO CRISTIANO VIDA ABUNDANTE, INC. in Santa Maria. They also have other AM stations in San Luis Obispo and Fresno as well as a LPTV in Yuma, AZ.
 
A sad day for Salinas radio history. The station first signed on in the early 1960's as KCTY. Does anyone recall all the formats. I remember it as a Spanish-language commercial station.
