"do you think KDFC will fill in the void for CHR-Pop?"
What void? With Star, Alice, Wild, and KMEL - local radio stations have flanked the market for CHR, though it may not be exactly the playlist you're longing for. If Entercom flips KDFC, they will be making the same mistake CBS made by flipping KFRC - trading an exclusive format with a decent sized listener base but a supposedly undesirable age demographic for a listener base that already has a number of stations to choose from. MOViN is just another variation on the urban-pop format, and it's not exciting anybody, because their playlist is mostly just re-arranged parts of Wild-KissFM-KBLX,and KMEL. I don't think a slight variation on Star would attract many listeners, either.
"Oh god no!!!!! Somebody save KDFC, please!!!!"
Amen to that.
