KDFI in HD Tonight For Stars Game?

KDFI has an "HD" bug on tonight during the Stars game. Can anyone with a 16x9 digital TV confirm they are actually broadcasting in HD?

Looks like it. Although, I've seen sharper. Why?

Wonder if its bound together with bond-o and bailing wire??

The My Network TV schedule used to be all in HD and KDFI broadcast it in HD. I suspect that KDFI is bringing in the Stars games via Fox Sports Net over the same HD transmission system. A big clue that was that none of the commercials were in HD.

Nope, have to leave that to you. They have brand new digital switching equipment at 4 & 27. It takes more time to upgrade when you have to do 30 odd stations.

I got some bubblegum that'll patch it up so they get the fancy HD commericals as well ;)

It looks like they're going to do a lot of games in HD on KDFI from here on out.

All the Ranger home games on KDFI will be in HD starting this weekend - 20 games this season:

It's part of a larger deal that brings a total of 86 Rangers games in HD to the area this season:

Plus...the next couple of Stars playoff games on KDFI will also be in HD:

It seems Fox is making a pretty serious commitment to local HD sports programming. My hope is that by next year the FSN-HD feed will be active 24/7. Right now it's only on when they've got a game in HD.

Hopefully next season, all 82 Stars games will be in HD. Even the Blackhawks --- a team whose previous ownership blacked out all home games being televised --- announced a few weeks ago all 82 of their games next season will be televised locally (between WGN/9 and the local RSN) and in HD.
