KDGE mornings.....

I dunno man, I kinda like the Scull, when I've got her on...Bo and Jim still get my vote for best am show (and Jody Dean on the TV 'til I roll out in the vehicle), though. Cindy needs a sidekick, and it needs to be Bobbo. Don'tcha think?

Are they ever going to put in a new morning show? It's just painful to listen to these days.

No, not that I know of.

I think Vydra does a great job while playing a lot of music...and noneofyour is right about the ratings being good. I hear more "new" rock tunes on Edge than I hear on Eagle (Foos, Evanescence, etc.) which may be another reason for the better ratings. I still don't get why 97.1 refuses to play newer rock. How about Chickenfoot (that is Hagar, Satriani and Michael Anthony for all of you who gripe about Eagle but don't listen to rock.;) ) What happened to Avenged Sevenfold on Eagle? How about more Shinedown and Foo tunes? How about "The Pretty Reckless" and their song "Make Me Wanna Die"... Black Tide's "That Fire"...Red's "Feed the Machine" or Skillet's "Awake and Alive"... these songs are less than 3 years old but get no airplay on 97.1 (while they have been played elsewhere). Sick Puppies, My Darkest Days, Buckcherry, "older" Nickelback as in before 2006...Alter Bridge, hell...even Limp Bizkit and Primus would rock.

Scull is on KEGL, not KDGE

Vydra is just painful to listen to. Most of the time it sounds like she is struggling to figure out what to say. She probably needs to be the sidekick to someone.

I don't listen to her all the time, so I could have missed that. I do think that she is perfect for that demo in that she lives the life of the listener. She was a sidekick in New Orleans for many years before taking the job in Dallas as a traffic/sidekick so she does not have tons of experience driving a show. It is pretty much a deal where they just want music and they want to pay at little as humanly possible. I think CC is past the point of putting together new morning shows. If they don't have a show already on air and doing somewhat well in a particular format that they can syndicate...I don't see them doing anything. I am still surprised that Rod Ryan never ended up in Dallas (since they had him on in both Houston and New Orleans at the same time).

The "Jagger Mafia" would definitely boost the ratings, but there's no way CHEAP Channel wants to pay them the salary they would demand..

how were his ratings at the end of his last run?

On The Edge, or on The Fan (after Bigsby demolished the show)..?

Jagger's last book on the Fan got less than a 2.0 M25-54. Shan and Choppy got a 4+ in December in same demo. Safe to say Jagger is made for a non-sports format.

The last time I saw the numbers, KDGE seemed to be doing quite well in their demo in AMD, apparently people do like music, I've listened, I didn't think it was bad, quick bits, didn't hear a lot of mindless banter like I get on...well pretty much everywhere else.
