KDGE to go 100K

Maybe this slipped under the radar, or maybe we don't care, but KDGE filed a CP to increase their ERP from 95kw to 100kw. Does little for the 60db scale which is already maxed.

What's sad is that KDGE was a MUCH BETTER station 15 years ago, when they were at 94.5. They were a cutting "Edge" station. Now you listen to them, scratch your head and change the station. More wattage won't help their problems.
______________

I always thought that whether 95k or 100k it didn't make almost any difference. Anyone know why those stations don't always have 100k though?
______________

Interference from others that might be at 102.1 FM. Shreveport for instance has KDKS at 102.1. Houston has KMJQ at 102.1, etc. You have to be careful that your signal doesn't interfere with anyone that might be on that signal. Not only that, it might interfere with some one on 101.9 (like KBUS in Paris) and 102.3 (like KLJT in Jacksonville/Tyler).
______________
