Dumb question here...Who is the PD at 102.1 the edge?

I love rock music and yet, when flipping channels, I can never remember that station exists. Curious who is behind the scenes because they don't seem to be doing well when it comes to public awareness of the station.

I'm not picking on the guy, but more on the state of DFW radio in general. I travel alot for work, and it seems like every city that I travel to, has better local radio than the metroplex.
As an example, The Edge no longer has any edge to it. It's the same old tired stuff over and over. I'll go months without tuning into the Edge, and when I do, I hear nothing new. In Kansas City, there is 96.5 The Buzz, that is everything an alternative station should be. They will play some of the old standbys, but I always hear new, obscure and up and coming musical talent when I listen to them. The on air personalities are interesting and knowlegable, although Laslo can be grating at times!
It's sad that a metropolitan area the size of ours, doesn't have better radio, IMO.

...and THAT is the difference between Clear Channel and Entercom. Cookie cutter programming.

I put on the Edge about one every 6 weeks and turn it off the moment a 20 year old Red Hot Chili Peppers or Beastie Boys song is played. Nothing against those bands but playing the same 4 or 5 songs when there's hundreds to choose from is ridiculous. 5 minutes later "Give it Away" or "Girls" comes on and I'm gone.

Maybe Oldies Alternative could be the next big format? I'd like to hear Ron Chapman talk about how he was only 50 when this song was all the rage then toss it to "Smells like teen spirit."

That's funny.
