KDKA's Streaming Feed

What's with KDKA's streaming feed? I was listening last night and during commercial breaks they were covering the airfeed with other commercials.

Make that sort of covering the airfeed, you could hear both concurrently -- the airfeed at a reduced level, but still there.

Not what I would expect from a America's greatest radio station!

No, but pretty much par for the course for KDKA.

I am sure some AFTRA members on this board can speak to this.
Wasn't this a union thing? I think there is or was an issue
where the talent was paid one rate for a local ad and something
else for a national ad, and there was a fight over whether net
streaming should be paid at the national rate. Was it ever
resolved? I know a lot of web stations used to black out
the local ads, but that seems to have subsided recently.
