KDKB Follies

Take this for what it is, 50% fact and 50% mole…

First off, congratulations to KDKB Program Director Buzz Casey! In the few months that Buzz has been at the helm, the station has done several “Live and Loud” weekends. Even as a listener it’s obvious that each of these weekend specials has featured many of the exact same sets of live music, the sets must have been recorded into the system as one track. Way to go Buzz! Clear Channel taught you well.

Word in the disgruntled sales department is that if Station Manager Bob Weaver didn’t spend so much time with his nose stuck in the play list, sales wouldn’t have plummeted 20+%. (Maybe Buzz misses those CC conference calls that told him what to play?)

Does Buzz have the jocks on a stopwatch? Have you listened to Dock Ellis fly through 3 topics and a traffic report in 18 seconds? True, the guy has the personality of a cardboard box but no one is that bad on this level….are they?

Even Ruby Cheeks has been muzzled. I liked her better when I didn’t like her, she hasn’t gone off on a rant in months.

All in all, this station would be greatly helped if Chuck Artigue would wake from his Winter’s nap and back up the truck on this management team, at least we think it’s a nap, someone check Chuck for a pulse….

Be nice ;)

btw I hear KSLX is looking for a night jock.
KD have a morning show in place ?
KD fill the AC Imaging gig ?

And when ratings drop they blame the talent. Yet these guys keep getting jobs. Failed radio talents go into management and then try to coach those that can.

[EDIT]

[EDIT-inflammatory remarks]

Way to go Buzz! As a former employee of Buzz, I will say that the guy gets it done. And he goes to bat for his people. His hands were tied at CC Atlanta. But he's had success everywhere else, and would've been able to make 96rock in Atlanta great if he could've done what he wanted.

Good luck Buzz! I miss ya!

Tim Rhodes <--- Fired by Buzz but I still have nothing but love.
