KDKBs PD has done such an outstanding job (stunting format change--sticking with same format; new morning show; excellent programming...)

One can only speculate as to why he would be gone. :-\
 
You know.....I wonder about that too. Is there anybody who is actually working in radio posting on this board? Or is it just a bunch of geeks who wish we had a better New/Talk station in the market?

I thought about posting something about Buzz leaving a couple of weeks ago when it happened, but I thought, "who cares?".

Tell me more, come on... Sandusky has the rock blosck so how good can they really be without hurting KUPD

Buzz Casey did the same thing in Atlanta before going to Phoenix. Listener appreciation days etc... He fired a successful afternoon team and replaced them with "Hot" girl. Ratings never got better and he, ahem, "resigned." He goes to KDKB and does the same thing with zero results. Why do these guys continue to get great jobs? Meanwhile the good jocks they fire have a hard time finding new gigs.
 
Based on the timing, I wonder if this was another Sandusky budget cut. There's no way this station can be making a profit unless they continue to cut costs. Will they take six months to find a new PD, like they did to come up with that stellar morning show?

Buzz may have made a lot of bad moves, but he wasn't making the final decision on any of them. The rot starts at the top.
 
money talks and they, as in KDKB, KSLX and KUPD make a bunch. you can argue with how they do it, the way the stations sound but the fact is they do very well. i'm hearing some big names for the gig.

experienced pd's from the rock format, think about it. and
why the hate stinky? god says be nice to all creatures big and small. ::)
 
Inside scoop is that Casey resigned to sell his soul to $hit Channel and go to work in one of their midwest cluster's. He apparently has a track record of bringing in hot chicks who aren't cut out for radio simply because they look good.

Buzz Casey was PD for the station formely known as 96 Rock/Atlanta; brought in Jennifer Reed for afternoons.
She had work at Rock 103/Memphis & KZPS/Dallas before that. Anyways,she was on 96Rock from May 2006 to Nov 2006. In Nov 2006, Clueless Channel did away with 96Rock by merging it with The Buzz(an active rock station). It is now known as Project 96.1.
Ms.Reed along with all the other 96Rock djs where let go when the merger occured.

Buzz Casey also tighten up the 96Rock playlist by dropping classic rock songs from 1990s and playing same classic rock songs from 1970s & 1980s over & over.

Must have not been around earlier this year when the sent Marci out in her underwear to the sports bar (or whatever it was)... Most recently Buzz has brought in 3 hot chicks for overnights and from what insiders tell me, none of them meeting the stations demands real well...
 
the only female i have heard is that ruby person who sounds and looks like a man. that east coast thing has got to go, this is Arizona not NY. on air people need to fit the their hometown.

He is notorious for not using capital letters in his posts. Buzz, you hired all these "Hot" girls we are speaking of. Why? Jennifer Reed, Marci, and others. I'd like your explanation. They are good on the radio because they are.....good looking? Because they sound sexual on the air? Guys will fill out the diaries because they want to romp with them? No wonder you're on your 3rd gig in less than 2 years.

Actually, I think holy'spirit and qid937 are the 'same per'son who in'si'st's on u'sing the apo'strophe inappropriately.
