Effective Monday, the lineup is:

lets hope this change up at sandusky will take some of KUPD's older listeners and move them to KDKB and put KUPD with a newer edge instead of STP, GnR and ac/dc still playing TOO much...

I definately have to agree. KUPD was a much better station in the late 90's when they were harder edged. Pete Cummings was a much better fit for KUPD. They had J.J. Jeffries at middays and Talben was the overnight guy.

They also need to stay away from the alternative music they used to bitch so much about back a few years ago. Remember those spots about the trendy alternative station (KEDJ).

Some of the classic harder Van Halen and Sabbath is good. But they need to leave the AC/DC and such for KDKB to jam. KUPD is still one of the best active rock stations anywhere. We are all spoiled with how good they really are. Other cities aren't so lucky. Most have given up on the active rock format altogether. Be thankful. I get static on KUPD,and a poor excuse for a rock station here in Flagstaff.

I think it's "Peterson" and not "Pederson" and I believe it's "Torgy" and not "Tony". Is this format even viable in this day and age? KDKB chose Pete Cummings to do mornings because he was already in the "family" and he was cheap (by morning show standards). He really did not get a chance from day one with all of the politcal in-fighting and dysfunction that goes on there (see Bob Weaver). Plus, the show just wasn't that good. Hell, Joe Bonadonna lost his job because of it. Pete is a solid jock, though, and should not have a problem finding another gig...afternoons somewhere maybe. Looks like Bob Weaver (Sales) will be getting the G.M. nod when Chuck Artique finally bows out (coming soon). Good luck.
