Maybe he's not Mr. Arbitron, but KDKB has strayed a tremendous distance from when it "rocked Arizona", although I must admit I recall a time where they played Cindy Lauper and Tommy Tutone in the 80s also... sigh. Not that there's anything wrong with Tommy Tutone, but I don't believe that belongs on a "rock" station, much less a supposed herritage rock station that went through a long stunting job in August/September to reinvent itself (of course in actuality, it was a month of stunting to simply roll out new imaging.. oooh).
KDKB has hurt for a morning show since the departure of Tim & Mark and building one from the "talent" in this market would be a long process in all probability. So why not just sit back, give it some time and carefully search. The Rolling Stones and Guns N Roses aren't going anywhere.

no sir, but no go seems like in your mind it's a done deal and i always wonder how people are able to reach such conclusions when it's been a very short time. it's just like everyone dumping on KTAR already, they just flipped to f.m. it takes time and money in mostr cases to break through. i also happen to like the no morning show on kdkb for the moment, it's better than someone trying to be funny.

Yes it takes time and money. Money, they won't spend unless its the same old spring/fall 6 week TV ad buys that they always make...time they've had. But instead of finding their niche within the cluster of three rock stations, they continue to program against their cluster mates, and who do they take aim at? KSLX! They continually refuse to chase the numbers. Why on earth do they think a 35-40 year old guy wants to hear Tommy Tutone, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Stones? Until they can recapture their core from KUPD they will fail.

winreader, you don't have to be a jerk. i'm just happy having a cool job in radio. i just started and it seems fun most of the time, but people like you who bitch and go after people ruin it for the rest of us who just want to enjoy what we do. now i don't know why you behave the way you do but i've seen your ill posts in other cities and i just have to wonder why your such a ------. i guess some people hide behind radio info while they go after people and say bad things, [EDIT]
