After noticing that they canned their morning show today, I glanced at the ratings over the past year and saw that they had [EDIT] After that though its been a steady decline. What happened back after last summer that caused such a big drop and whats going on now that's causing the stations numbers to remain lousy?

[EDIT-reposting of Arbitron ratings is not only a violation of radio-info's Terms of Service, it's also a violation of fair use protocol that Arbitron aggressively enforces.]

The AM show just wasn't very good. Peterson is a good AC jock but needs to stay out of the rock world. He just wasn't able to relate to that demo even though he's been there for years. He hit all the right topics but just never sounded sincere.

Any guesses on who fills am drive??? Will they look at a syndicated show or go local? Would be quite interesting if they grab Opie and Anthony

Their ratings slippage came - at least partly - as a result of Tim and Mark breaking up their morning show. I can't recall which one it was, but one of them became a born-again Christian and decided the rowdy nature of the show was not for him any longer.

The replacement show just didn't measure up. That's the biz.

I doubt KDKB would get O & A for two reasons:

1. O & A are probably expensive to clear, though I could be wrong. But if they are expensive, Sandusky won't pay.
2. I think KDKB's programmers will recognize this heritage station needs a local show. KDKB's "heritage" is that of being a very local station and I would hope they want to retain that flavor and expand upon it.

KDKB Mornings?
Three Words:
Alice Cooper Mornings!
(Wishful thinking)

so, no truth to the brandmeier rumor? ???

Considering that the rumor appeared in Morse Code on a Web site owned by some joker on this board (not Sandusky), this should not be a surprise whatsoever.
