KDOC continuity question

...noticed that KDOC/v56 just used the legal ID plugging NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood that displays a start time of 11:00 P.M. Saturdays. This at 1:00 AM Sunday, immediately before this week's show. They also occasionally used the 11:00 plug when they ran the show at 4:00 Saturday afternoons in the autumn. It hasn't run at 11:00 since September, when it was the lead-in to the cancelled Elvira's Movie Macabre. Maybe since I'm a relatively new arrival to SoCal, I'm curious -- is this a common habit with KDOC's continuity and production office?...

KDOC has always been a head scratcher when it comes to what they do and how they do it. The station is better than it has been when it was just Dr Gene Scott preaching for hours on end and Wally George screaming at those "looney liberals!" interspersed with skate punk music videos.

Despite their best efforts to grow up and be taken seriously, in the end they are still the station that picks up the scraps the big players in Los Angeles take a pass on. Even their pickup of Seinfeld isn't that great since KCOP airs the exact same episodes but just later at night.

I do applaud KDOC for airing more sports programming (Ducks, Galaxy, Chivas USA, Big 12 college hoops and ACC college football) lately. When KCAL-9 loses the Lakers for at least 20 years after this season you can bet KCAL will start to throw money at these program rights to fill the holes.
