KDSJ / 980 Deadwood

MN Maniac mentioned KDSJ in Deadwood as a standalone AM surviving in an FM forest. Their signal reaches Rapid City quite nicely but I often wonder what they are trying to accomplish. It's a real mish mash.

What do you mean by mish mash? There are a number of AMs in the Rapid City market. Of which, KDSJ nulls toward at night.

I meant the programming. Very localized to Deadwood / Lead which I appreciate. When they spin oldies it's all over the place. Sometimes I hear Dick Clark. Sometimes I hear other syndication. Sometimes it sounds like a CD of various artists with 3 second gaps between songs. A very uneven presentation.
